thunderstorms March 27, 2007
i love them. if you were in pittsburgh today, it was a beautiful, sunny day, and then this glorious thunderstorm rolled in for all of 10 minutes, complete with thunder and lightening. and then, just as quickly, the skies cleared and it was sunny again. rainstorms on a warm day are one of my favorite things. i love the feel of warm rain, and the sound it made drumming on the windows while i was working, and the smell of the earth afterward. and i love that my dogs were afraid of the thunder, so they cuddled with me. sometimes its the simple things…
I was out running one day and was on the ridge of a hill when a thunderstorm moved in. I called Nancy to come get me in the car, but in the meantime this glorious and terrifying storm rolled in. I was scared for my very life…and yet it was also amazing.
