hey guys,

i’m out of the office again beginning thursday for clare and jack’s out of state wedding. i’ll be responding to emails and phone calls on tuesday when i’m back in the office.

also, i have some exciting news to share with you in the next month. stay tuned…

just a friendly reminder that if you havent ordered your wedding album yet and would like to have it in time for the holidays, the deadline to have final revisions to me is october 15th.

what a day! we began at Marys parents house for some getting ready shots, then off to St. John Capistran church for the ceremony. Next it was back to Mary’s parents for some photos, then off to the Duquesne Club for a Persian ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Remaining on the kick of summing up weddings in one word, this one would have to be: romance. Here are some of the things I saw throughout the day:

their cake was by vanilla pastry studio on the west end- one of my favorite bakers (my husband and i are there regularly for their cupcakes. best in pittsburgh). and that’s nic from lockerman studios in the background. i totally recommend them for video.

mary and bob, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know you over the last few months. your wedding was simply spectacular! have an amazing time on your honeymoon!

brad and apryl tied the knot on friday evening at old economy village. it was a perfect evening for these two, with great weather and lots of laughter throughout the night. i had the added bonus of being gloriously reunited with amanda, apryl’s maid of honor, who i graduated high school with. here are a few of the things that caught my eye throughout the night:

and i’ve got to give a special shout out to my husband ray. my assistant couldn’t make it, so ray filled in for me last minute. not only did he lug my bags all night, he also took some photos throughout the evening. these last two are his; check out these shots he got!

apryl and brad, the connection you share is magical. i hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon!

local motion was a huge success. tickets sold out and a lot of money was raised for charity. if you’ve never been backstage before a fashion show, it’s total chaos. people are running around from hair to makeup and back again, getting last minute wardrobe adjustments, practicing their walks. its full of frantic energy, excitement and anticipation. high heels and energy drinks abound. here are a few of the things that caught my eye backstage:

a close friend of mine had her first baby recently, so i headed over there to meet the newest addition and snap some pics of the little guy. this is ben at three weeks:

my husband came with me, and on the way home he tried telling me how happy and natural i looked holding ben. i’m not falling for it. (at least not for a few more years.)

i’m out of the office tuesday the 18 and wednesday the 19. i’ll be attending a workshop in philadelphia on some new studio management software. i’ll be returning phone calls and emails on thursday when i’m back in town.

also, if you haven’t already noticed, starbucks has their new fall menu up, which includes pumpkin scones, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin lattes, and pumpkin frappuccinos. it looks like i’ll be there every day for the next few months, taking advantage of all of the pumpkin-y goodness.

do you guys ever get that involuntary twitch in your eye when you’re tired? i’ve had it in my left eye for like, three weeks now.

i need a nap.

julie and dave got married yesterday at st. mary on the mount on mount washington (which is a beautiful church to photograph in). julie was a radiantly beautiful bride, and one of the smiliest brides i’ve ever seen (check out the slideshow, there are very few photos where she’s not beaming). here are some of the things that caught my eye throughout the day:

juile is the only girl in the family, so her mom was very excited and emotional about her little girl getting married. it was so sweet.

and then off to the rivers club for the reception. julie has terrific taste and great attention to detail. the reception was beautifully done.

first dance. i swear the smile did not leave julie’s face all day. she was so full of joy and made the greatest expressions.

a little bit of breakdancing. i’ve gotta give props to their dj chris boyd. he was very interactive, great at reading the crowd, and was gobs of fun to work with. (so was their videographer, glenn snow out of columbus).

i noticed it last night, and it was confirmed this morning. a slight chill in the air, a few crackling leaves. fall is right around the corner. my favorite time of year. sweater weather, apple cider, football season, crisp mornings, little tornadoes of leaves on country roads. all things pumpkin: pies, cakes, lattes.

fall energizes me.

I’m out of town starting Thursday the 6th for an out of state wedding. I’ll be returning phone calls and emails on Tuesday.
