nicole and wayne tied the knot last saturday, and abie was there to capture some beautiful images of their day. i’ve also got to give a shout out to nate, who was her second shooter for the day. thanks nate!

stacy and john got married last saturday. they had a beautiful catholic ceremony followed by a brunch reception at the omni william penn. here are a few of my faves from their day:

molly’s trolleys provided the transportation from the ceremony to reception. stacy’s holding up a mini bottle of water with their names on it.

stacy and john’s wedding was a wonderful end to my 2007 wedding season. I had so many amazing couples this year; many of whom i now consider friends.

when i first met michele, we instantly hit it off. we’ve kept in touch through email in the months leading up to her wedding. she and chris got married this past saturday at the hyeholde (which is a very unique and beautiful venue- if you are planning a small to mid-sized wedding, definitely check it out). here are a few of the things that caught my eye throughout their day:

getting into a wedding gown can be quite the production.

some portraits before the ceremony. michele made sure we had plenty of time beforehand to get some bridal portraits- which was fabulous, because the grounds of the hyeholde are beautiful and gave us some great backdrops.

heh heh. dominic the ring bearer wasn’t sure he wanted to be in this group shot. he was in the process of running away when someone said ‘airplane’, which made him stop in his tracks. too cute.

the hyeholde also has this great swing, which is apparantly hard to manuever onto in a wedding gown.

first dance. i love that they are surrounded by their wedding party on the dance floor.

johanna and mark got married on sunday. the ceremony was held in the broderie room at phipps conservatory, and the reception followed at soba in shadyside. there were about 25 people in attendance, which made for an intimate affair. here are a few of the things that caught my eye throughout their day:

the ketubah had incredibly intricate detailing. it was really a work of art.

soba’s food is amazing. they are part of the big burrito company, which includes mad mex, kaya, casbah, eleven, and umi. big burrito offers catering also. i highly recommend them.

once again, abie was my second- shooter extraordinaire. i have an exciting announcement about Abie in the next few weeks! in the meantime, check out these sweet shots she captured:

jill and tony tied the knot on saturday. it was fabulous. here are some of the things i saw throughout the day:

some bored ringbearers

during their kiss, one of the ringbearers let out a loud ‘ew…gross!’. this is the moment right afterwards.

jills dad builds playgrounds, so after the ceremony we headed to a local park that had one of the playgrounds her dad built. she and tony are super fun and up for just about anything, so we hopped on the merry-go-round for some pics (abie was kind enough to give us a push).

jill has fabulous red hair and amazing blue eyes. and yes, her dress was green. and awesome.

cara and nathanael got married on friday evening in a delightful non traditional ceremony at pittsburgh center for the arts. they had several of their friends come up during the ceremony for readings; it was so personal and very touching. plus, cara and nathanael have a fabulous sense of style, which was infused throughout their ceremony and reception. i loved it! here are a few of my faves from their day:

cara and nathanael, it was such a pleasure to document your day for you. you two are a joy to be around, and a perfect match.

i travelled out to maryland this weekend to photograph clare and jacks wedding. they got married in a beautiful ceremony by the water, then headed over to the wellwood club for their reception. the weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony. here are a few of the things that caught my eye throughout their day:

clare and jack decided to see one another before the ceremony so they could spend time doing their portraits beforehand. even though jack had already seen clare earlier in the day, this was his reaction as she walked down the aisle. this is probably my favorite groom reaction all year.

clare’s aunt read the poem ‘my heart’ by e.e. cummings during the ceremony. she got choked up while reading it, and hearing her aunt try to hold back tears made Clare get a little emotional.

what a day! we began at Marys parents house for some getting ready shots, then off to St. John Capistran church for the ceremony. Next it was back to Mary’s parents for some photos, then off to the Duquesne Club for a Persian ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Remaining on the kick of summing up weddings in one word, this one would have to be: romance. Here are some of the things I saw throughout the day:

mary and bob, it’s been such a pleasure getting to know you over the last few months. your wedding was simply spectacular! have an amazing time on your honeymoon!

brad and apryl tied the knot on friday evening at old economy village. it was a perfect evening for these two, with great weather and lots of laughter throughout the night. i had the added bonus of being gloriously reunited with amanda, apryl’s maid of honor, who i graduated high school with. here are a few of the things that caught my eye throughout the night:

julie and dave got married yesterday at st. mary on the mount on mount washington (which is a beautiful church to photograph in). julie was a radiantly beautiful bride, and one of the smiliest brides i’ve ever seen (check out the slideshow, there are very few photos where she’s not beaming). here are some of the things that caught my eye throughout the day:

juile is the only girl in the family, so her mom was very excited and emotional about her little girl getting married. it was so sweet.

a little bit of breakdancing. i’ve gotta give props to their dj chris boyd. he was very interactive, great at reading the crowd, and was gobs of fun to work with. (so was their videographer, glenn snow out of columbus).
